Mom and Pop Alliance was created for you

As business owners ourselves, we know that today, more than ever, state and local governments have an ever increasing effect on the process and experience of business ownership. It is for this reason we have VOLUNTEERED OUR TIME to create and run Mom and Pop Alliance.

Family owned businesses are the backbone of the SC economy, but our voices are often under-represented in the development of governmental policy. We were founded to change this. We work as a liaison between family business owners and local/state governments to seek solutions and good governance policies that are supportive of SC's Mom and Pop businesses.

Your membership includes access to IDEA-SC. IDEA (Innovative Dialogue for Economic Advancement) was created to facilitate communication between small businesses and the agencies that regulate them. IDEA is a secure communication forum whereby business owners can share their ideas regarding the permitting process to help cut red tape while maintaining consumer safety.
